Ficus Ginseng is a fabulous Bonsai specimen, known for its funky, potbelly-shaped trunk and gorgeous deep green foliage.
These trees are cultivated as Bonsais, making them the perfect indoor tree without occupying much space. Ideal for smaller homes or office spaces, they create a stunning presence, especially as a tabletop focal piece. Alternatively, they look fantastic as part of a floor-level plant display, adding mid-level height for contrast.
This lovely variety of Ficus is extremely easy to maintain as long as it receives good filtered light and airflow. Avoid placing it in a cool draft or direct sunlight. Watering is simple, as the soil should dry out completely between waterings. This makes them tolerant of occasional under or overwatering.
Provide your Bonsai Ficus Ginseng with good humidity and warmth to keep it looking its best, and you’ll enjoy a houseplant that will last for many years.
Care Instructions:
Follow these steps to keep your Ficus Ginseng happy and healthy:
- Water: Water your ficus immediately once the soil reaches dryness. Avoid keeping the soil too dry or too wet for prolonged periods.
- Light: Very bright filtered light is ideal.
- Humidity: Provide your plant with high humidity to thrive. If this is not possible, use a pebble tray.
- Fertilize: Feed regularly with a fertiliser during the growing season (Spring through Summer). Once every 2 weeks is ideal. Do not feed in winter.
